As a performer, teacher, writer and composer, he brings a deep knowledge, intense virtuosity and contagious passion to all things banjo, with thousands of music fans and banjo students from all over the world in a music career that now spans over thirty-five years. Alan Munde is one of the most highly respected and best-loved banjo players in the world. A master of both melodic and traditional Scruggs styles, Alan has played and taught music professionally for over 40 years. Munde gained fame as a member of Country Gazette and for his albums with Sam Bush and the Kentucky Colonels, as well his own highly influential solo albums. [video link]
For over 30 years, these folks from Charlottesville, Virginia have devoted their lives to the tradition and bring not only a great deal of sensitivity to the music, but also plenty of spirit and humor in the vein of past Old Time performers.

Alabama native and member of The Alabama Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, David Davis has traveled and preformed as frontman for the Warrior River Boys since 1984.
He is recognized as one of the foremost practitioners of the Monroe mandolin technique. His interest in old-time and bluegrass music grew organically from a musical family; his uncle, Cleo Davis, was Bill Monroe’s original Blue Grass Boy.
The group’s latest release is a masterful and exciting collection of songs originally recorded in the 1920’s by the legendary Charlie Poole and his North Carolina Ramblers.
